The count rate of a 10 ml radioactive liquid is C. Some of the liquid is now discarded. The count rate of the remaining liquid is found to be C/10 after three half-lives. Calculate the volume of the remaining liquid (in-ml)

For 10 ml sample $(\frac{- dN}{dt})$ after three Half life = $\frac{a}{8}$
Suppose the amount of liquid left after removing some liquid = x ml
For x ml sample the activity after three half lives $= \frac{ax}{80} = \frac{a}{10}$
X= 8 ml
