Solution

Glucose cannot react with weak carbonyl reagents like schiff's reagent, ${NH}_{3}, {NaHSO}_{3}$ ;
This fact cannot be explained by open chain structure but can be explained by its hemi acetal structure(ring structure);
These reagents cannot open up the the ring structure or in other words they cannot increase the the percentage of open structure in the equilibrium mixture containing $α -$ D-glucose $(\approx 36 %)$ , $β -$ D-glucose $(\approx 64 %)$ and open chain form $(\approx 0.5 %)$ ;
