Solution of salt in water is homogeneous hence can not be separated by filtration,Decanation or on long standing.  Due to presence of salts, freezing point of water gets depressed. water freezes to ice which will havevery little amount of salts. Thus the crystals are rich in water and the concentrate becomes richer in salts
