Question

10 ml of FeC2O4 solution requires 30 ml of 0.4 M KMnO4 solution in acidic medium for titration. 25 ml of the same FeC2O4 solution is mixed in some water to make a solution containing 900g of water. Which of the following is/are true for this solution?

Kf for water =1.8/Kkg/mol )

Moderate
Solution

FeC2O4+KMnO4  Mn2++Fe3++CO2

10×3×M=30×0.4×5

M=2

π=2×0.82×300×2=49.2atm×2=98.4atm

πKMnO4=0.4×0.082×300×2=19.68atm

In the new FeC2O4 solution

nFeC2O4=251000×2=120

RLVP=120×2120×2+90018=110110+50=1500

and

ΔT1=1.8×1200.9×2=2×1.8×118=0.2K

Tf=0.2K
