I) The aqueous solutin of boric acid is used as antiseptic in the name of boric lotion.

→ Boric acid is also used as food preservative.

II) In diborane each boron undergoes sp3 hybridisation.

In diborane each B atom undergoes sphybridisation, it contains two B-H-B bridges. Each bridge bond is formed by overlapping of one "B"sphybrid orbital with one electron, hydrogen s-orbital with one electron and another boron sp3 hybrid orbital without electron. II) The aqueous solution of borax is alkaline in nature.Scince in aqueous borax undergoes anionic hydrolysis.

The cation of strong base (Na+)  cannot undergo hydrolysis,where as anion of weak acid( B4O7-2) donot undergo hydrolysis.
