Borax
Question

Reactivity of borazole is greater than that of benzene because

Moderate
Solution

BORAZOLE

BENZENE

In borazole the π bond is dative π-bond which is formed by donation of electron pair from filled p-orbital to the empty p-orbital of boron.Hence N gets positive charge and B-gets negative charge.

In benzene  the π-bond is normal covalent bond.
Hence N—B bond is polar. C—C bond is non polar.
Due to polarity of B—N  bond ,it easily involves in addition reactions. It involves in electrophilic substitution reactions.

It is unstable in atmospheric air and undergoes hydrolysis

\large {B_3}{N_3}{H_6} + \mathop {9{H_2}0}\limits_{moist} \to 3{H_3}B{O_3} + 3N{H_3} + 3{H_2}

It is stable in atmospheric air and it cannot undergo hydrolysis
