Correct statement 2: The complex, ${[{CuCl}_{2}]}^{-}$ (as well as ${[{CuCl}_{3}]}^{2 -}$ and ${[{CuCl}_{4}]}^{2 -}$ are tetrahedral in the solid state. In ${KCuCl}_{2}$ , there are chains in which Cu is tetrahedrally surrounded by Cl with simple units joined into a chain by shared halide ions.
