What is the nature of aqueous borax solution ?

The aqueous solution of borax is alkaline in nature.                                                 ORAnion of weak acid only undergoes hydrolysis but cation of strong base cannot undergo hydrolysis.→ During anionic hydrolysis   ions released to the solution therefore the solution is basic or alkaline in nature.
