Since adsorption is an exothermic process (taking place with the evolution of heat), therefore in accordance with Le Chatelier's principle, the magnitude of physical adsorption will decrease with the increase in temperature. In case of chemisorption, the adsorption first increase and then decreases with increase in temperature.
