Solution

The oxidation ability of halogens is in the order : F₂ > Cl₂ > Br₂ > I₂. Lighter halogen is a stronger oxidant. Heavier halide is less stable, acts as a reducing agent and is easily oxidized .The reaction that is not easily possible among halides and halogens is Cl₂ + 2F^ââ 2Cl^â+ F₂
