Solution

When same metal is used as electrode the process is known as attackable electrode process. During this process anion of electrolyte continuously attacks
anode (metal).Anode itself undergoes oxidation.Hence at anode nickel undergoes oxidation. $Ni - 2{e^ - } \rightleftharpoons N{i^{ + 2}}$
