In which reaction, polysubstitution takes place

Only −CH3​ can be  substituted to the benzene ring in the presence of anhydrous AlCl3 and produce C6​H5 ​−CH3​ (Toluene) This is Friedel Craft's Alkylation reaction.But in the absence of anhydrous AlCl3 ​ ,  −Cl can be   substituted to the benzene ring. In Friedel Craft's Alkylation reaction, mono alkyl derivative readily undergoes further alkylation to produce poly substituted derivatives.  Hence, poly substitution can take place in this reaction.
