Arranging the wages in ascending order of magnitude, we have
$8, 9, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 25$
Since there are 10 observations. Therefore, median is the
arithmetic mean of ${(\frac{10}{2})}^{th}$ and ${(\frac{10}{2} + 1)}^{th}$ observations.
So, median $= \frac{15 + 17}{2} = 16$
