Solution

The radius of the circle passing through (4, 5) and having its centre at (2, 2) is given by
$r = \sqrt{(4 - 2)^{2} + (5 - 2)^{2}} = \sqrt{4 + 9} = \sqrt{13} .$
So, equation of the required circle is
$(x - 2)^{2} + (y - 2)^{2} = (\sqrt{13})^{2} \Rightarrow x^{2} + y^{2} - 4 x - 4 y - 5 = 0$
