Solution

Since the line makes zero intercept on both the axes, it must pass through the origin. So equation of the
line is $y = \frac{a + 1}{a - 1} x$ as the slope of the line is $\frac{a + 1 - 0}{a - 1 - 0}$
or $(a + 1) x - (a - 1) y = 0$
