If one root of the equation x2+px+q=0 is 2+3, then values of p and q are
-4, 1
4, -1
2, 3
-2, -3
One root is 2+3, then second root must be 2-3.
⇒Sum of roots =-p=[2+3+2-3]=4⇒p=-4
and product of roots =q=(2+3)(2-3)=4-3=1.
⇒(p, q)=(-4,1)
