The image of the point P(3, 5) with respect to the line y = x is the point Q and the image of Q with respect to the line y = 0 is the point R(a, b), then (a, b)

Let (x1, y1) be the image of the point P(3, 5) with respect to the line y = x. Then, x1 = 5, y1 = 3.∴             Q = (5, 3)Since the image of the point Q(5, 3) w.r.t. the line y = 0 is (a, b).∴                a = 5 and b = –3∴               (a, b) = (5, –3)
