we have ,
x²=2x and y² = 2+y
$\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow x (x - 2) = 0 and (y - 2) (y + 1) = 0 \\ \Rightarrow x = 2, y = 2 [∵ x, y > 0] \\ \Rightarrow x - y = 0 \end{array}$
