                     Eq. of line passing through
                $(- 1, 2) (2, - 3)$ is

                $y - 2 = \frac{- 3 - 2}{2 + 1} (x + 1)$

                $\Rightarrow 5 x + 3 y - 1 = 0$



                Ratio $= - \frac{L_{11}}{L_{22}}$

                $= - [\frac{5 + 3 - 1}{25 - 6 - 1}]$

                $= - \frac{7}{18}$

                $∴$ 7 : 18 externally
