A particle is projected from a point on ground making an angle with horizontal. Maximum height attained by it is 80 m. Find its time of flight (Take g = 10 m/s2)

Solution

$H_{m a x} = \frac{{u_{y}}^{2}}{2 g} \Rightarrow u_{y} = \sqrt{2 \times 10 \times 80} m / s = 40 m / s T = \frac{2 u_{y}}{g} = \frac{2 \times 40}{10} s = 8 s$
