Solution

Time period of simple pendulum of length l is
$T = 2 π \sqrt{\frac{l}{g}}$
$\Rightarrow T \propto \sqrt{l}$
$∴ \frac{∆ T}{T} = \frac{1}{2} \frac{∆ l}{l}$
$\frac{∆ T}{T} = \frac{1}{2} \times 3 = 1.5 %$
