Here, $u_{2} = 0 v_{1} = 0$
From conservation of momentum
$m_{1} u_{1} = m_{2} v_{2} (1)$
Final kinetic energy $\frac{1}{2} m_{2} v_{2}^{2} = \frac{1}{2} (\frac{1}{2} m_{1} u_{1}^{2}) (2)$
From eq = (1)
$\frac{1}{2} m_{2} v_{2} . ϑv = \frac{1}{2} \frac{1}{2} m_{1} u_{1} u_{1}$
$v_{2} = \frac{1}{2} u_{1}$
$e = \frac{v_{2}}{u_{1}} = \frac{1}{2} = 0.5$
