A ball of mass 1 kg hangs in equilibrium from two strings OA and OB as shown in figure. The ratio of tensions in strings OA and OB is :  (Take g=10ms2 )

Forces acting on the ball are as shown in figure.

The three concurrent forces are in equilibrium

Using Lami's theorem.

T1sin150=T2sin120=10sin90

T1sin30=T2sin60=101T1T2

T1=10sin30=10×0.5=5N and T2 = 10

sin60=10×32=53N
