A ball rolls off the top of a stair case with a horizontal velocity of 4.5 ms^-1 . If the steps are 0.2 metre high and 0.3 metre broad and g = 10 ms^-2, then the ball will strike the nth step where n is equal to (g=10 m/s²)

Total height of fall = nh and range = nb.
$nb = U \sqrt{\frac{2 nh}{g}} n = U^{2} \frac{2 h}{g \cdot b^{2}} = 9$
