Solution

$λ_{m} T = b \Rightarrow λ_{m} = \frac{b}{t} = \frac{2.88 \times 10^{6}}{2880} = 1000 nm . So, U_{2} > U_{1}$ and obviously $U_{1} \neq 0 and U_{2} \neq 0 .$
