Solution

Kinetic friction $μ_{k} R = 0 .2 (mg - Fsin 30^{\circ})$
$= 0.2 (5 \times 10 - 40 \times \frac{1}{2}) = 0.2 (50 - 20) = 6 N$
Acceleration of the block $= \frac{Fcos 30^{\circ} - Kinetic friction}{Mass}$
$= \frac{40 \times \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2} - 6}{5} = 5 .73 m / s^{2}$
