Solution

For a freely falling body u=0
$g = 9.8 m / s^{2}$
Given that $h = 19.6 m$
$v = ?$
From equation $v^{2} - u^{2} = 2 g h$
$\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow v^{2} = 2 g h \\ ∴ v = \sqrt{2 g h} \\ = \sqrt{2 \times 9.8 \times 19.6} \\ = 19.6 m / s \end{array}$
