If σ gm/cm3 be the density of the material of the body, then when it is floating in oilV×σ×g=V2×0.8×g⇒σ=0.4 gm/cm3when floating in water let V' be the submerged volume.∴ V1×1×g=V×0.4×g⇒V1=0.4∴ V−V1V=1−V1V=1−0.4=0.6=60%
