$\therefore \,mu\,\,\cos \theta = - \frac{m}{2}u\cos \theta + \frac{m}{2}{v_2}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{{m{v_2}}}{{\cancel{2}}} = \frac{{3mu\,\cos \theta }}{{\cancel{2}}}$
$\therefore {v_2} = 3\,u\,\cos \theta$
