Solution

Here the centripetal force is supplied by the functional force. Hence $μmg = \frac{{mv}^{2}}{r} = {mrω}^{2}$
$∴ μg = {rω}^{2}$
$0 \cdot 5 \times 9 \cdot 8 = 10 \times ω^{2}$
Solving, we get
$ω = 0 \cdot 7 rad / \sec$ .
