As the initial momentum of bomb was zero, therefore after explosion two parts should possess numerically equal momentum

 i.e. mAvA=mBvB  4×vA=8×6  vA=12 ​m/s

Kinetic energy of other mass A, =  12mAvA2

=12×4×(12)2=288J
