$R = 100 m, u = 500 m / s$
t = time taken $= \frac{R}{u} = \frac{100}{500} = \frac{1}{5} \sec$
Now, $h = \frac{1}{2} {gt}^{2} = \frac{1}{2} \times 10 \times \frac{1}{25} m = \frac{1}{5} m = 20 cm$
