A capillary tube of length l = 50 cm and radius r = 14mm is immersed vertically into water. Find the capillary rise if angle of contact = 00 and coefficient of surface tension = 72 dyne/cm. (Take g = 1000 cm/s2).

     = 2(72) cos 00(1)(1000)(140)  = 57.6 cm

Since l (= 50 cm) < ho

h = 50 cm
