Solution

We know that, $Î· = 1 â \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}$
For first case $\frac{40}{100} = 1 â \frac{T_{2}}{500}$
$â´ T_{2} = 300 K$
For second case $\frac{50}{100} = 1 â \frac{300}{T_{1}}$
or $T_{1} = 600 K$
