Density ρ= mass m volume VTake logarithm to take base e on the both sides of eqn (i), we get lnρ = lnm – lnV .....(ii)Differentiate eqn (ii), on both sides, we get Δρρ=Δmm−ΔVVErrors are always added. Error in the density ρ will be =Δmm+ΔVV×100%=0.0122.42+0.14.7×100%=2%
