Question

In the circuit shown, if a conducting wire is connected between point s A and^B, the current in this wire willsss

Moderate
Solution

Current will flow from higher to lower potential.

Before connecting wire from A to B, voltage drop across 4  Ω=  V×  44+4=V2

Voltage drop across 1  Ω=  V×  11+3=V4

voltagedropat  A=VV2=V2  and voltage drop at B=VV4=3V4

So, VB > VA
Hence, on connecting wire between points A and B, the current will flow from B to A.
