Solution

Given that,
$β - 100, V_{cc} - 10 volt$
$V_{cc} = 5 volt, R_{C} = 1 KΩ$
$i_{c} = \frac{V_{CC} - V_{CE}}{R_{C}}$
$i_{c} = i_{b} R_{b}$
we know amplification factor
$i_{b} = \frac{i_{c}}{β}$
then
$i_{c} = \frac{i_{c}}{β} R_{b}$
$R_{b} = \frac{{βV}_{CC}}{i_{c}}$
$R_{b} = \frac{100 \times 10}{5 mA} = 200 KΩ$
$R_{b} = 200 \times 10^{3} Ω$
