Solution

Heat produced, H = V it
$∴ H = \frac{210 \times 1 \cdot 0 \times 3600}{4 \cdot 2} cal = 180000 cal$
If L be the latent heat of ice and m, the mass of melted ice, then
m L = 180000
or $m = \frac{180, 000}{80} g = 2250 g = 2 \cdot 25 kg$
