So, magnetic force, $\vec{F} = q \vec{V} X \vec{B}$
$\vec{F} = (- e) (- V \hat{i}) X (- B \hat{k}) = - e (V \hat{i} X B \hat{k}) = - e (V X B) (\hat{i} X \hat{k}) = - e (V B) (- \hat{j}) = e (V B) \hat{j}$
