Friction on inclined plane of angle more than angle of repose

Directions: These questions consists of two statements each printed as Assertion and Reason. While answering these questions you are required to choose any one of the following four responses
Assertion : A body of mass 10 kg is placed on a rough inclined surface ( $μ$ = 0.7). The surface is inclined to horizontal at angle 30°. Acceleration of the body down the plane will be zero.
Reason : Force of friction is zero.

Solution

$m g \sin θ = 10 \times 10 \times \frac{1}{2} = 50 N$
$f_{friction} = μ m g \cos θ = 0.7 \times 10 \times 10 \times \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2} = 60.62 N$
Since, $μ m g \cos θ$ is more, block will remain stationary.
