Solution

We know that, direction of polarization $\vec{X}$ is parallel to electric field $\vec{E}$ , i.e, $\vec{X} ∥ \vec{E}$ and direction of wave propagation $\vec{K}$ is perpendicular to both $\vec{E}$ as well as $\vec{B}$ . i.e, parallel to $\vec{E} \times \vec{B}$
