Solution

$Acceleration of elevator = \frac{2 s}{t^{2}} = \frac{2 (2)}{(0 .6)^{2}} = 11 .11 m / s^{2}$
Tension is string T - m (g + a) = 3 (9.8 + 11.11)= 62.73N
