The equivalent resistance between A and B in ohm  is VA>VB

Here the diode is in reversed bias as VA>VB potential drop across the 3 ohm resistance is less than potential drop across 6 ohm resistance. So resistance of each branch is 9 ohm and equivalent resistance is 9||9 = 4.5 ohm
