Solution

F = 113⁰F, C = 44⁰C(faulty reading)
we have $\large \frac {C}{5}=\frac {F-32}{9}\Rightarrow \frac {C}{5}=\frac {113-32} {9}$
C = 45⁰C (correct reading)
$\large \therefore$ correction = 45 - 44 = +1⁰C
