Solution

$A_{1} v_{1} = A_{2} v_{2}$
Velocity in metallic pipe= 32 m/s.
$5 \times 10^{6} - P = \frac{1}{2} 1000 (32^{2} - 2^{2}) = 0.51 \times 10^{6} \Rightarrow P = 4.49 \times 10^{6} N / m^{2}$ .
