Solution

Resistance between, A and B for upper pa = 2+3= 5 $Ω$
Resistance between A and B for lower part = 4+6= 10 $Ω$
As bridge is balanced, the two resistances are in parallel and the resistance 7 $Ω$ is ineffective. Thus
$\begin{array}{l} \frac{1}{R} = \frac{1}{5} + \frac{1}{10} = \frac{3}{10} \\ R = (10 / 3) Ω \end{array}$
