Fluid dynamics
Question

A fluid is flowing through a pipe of variable cross-sectional area. A and B are two points in the flowing fluid. We can write Bernoulli's equation between two points A and B if

Moderate
Solution

Pressure, velocity and density of the fluid at a point in the flow region should not vary with time. Also at different points in the flow region, the fluid should have the same density. No loss of energy should take place in the flow region i.e. the fluid should not have viscosity.
