Force acting on a particle is $5 N$ . If units of length and time are doubled and unit of mass is halved then find the numerical value of force in the new system of units.

Solution

$Force = 5 N = \frac{5 kg \cdot m}{s^{2}}$
If unit of length and time are doubled and the unit of mass is halved.
Then unit of force will be $[\frac{\frac{1}{2} \times 2}{(2)^{2}}] = \frac{1}{4} t i m e s .$
Hence the numerical value of force will be 4 times or answer is 20.
