According to equation of continuity
$A_{1} V_{1} = A_{2} V_{2} or 10 {cm}^{2} \times 1 m / s = 5 {cm}^{2} \times v_{2} ∴ v_{2} = 2 m / s From Bernoulli' s theorem P + \frac{1}{2} {ρv}^{2} = constant ∴ P_{2} + \frac{1}{2} {ρv}_{2}^{2} = P_{1} + \frac{1}{2} {ρv}_{1}^{2} or P_{2} + \frac{1}{2} \times 10^{3} \times (2)^{2} = 2000 + \frac{1}{2} \times 10^{3} \times (1)^{2} Solving, we get P_{2} = 500 Pa$
