If RMS velocity of gas molecules increases,

Area under dNdu  versus  u graph gives total number of molecules of the gas, which is  constant.When temperature is increased, RMS velocity of molecules increases.  dNdu  versus  u graph reduces in height and flattens out as shown. For some differential range of  velocities, number of molecules decreases, and for some others, number of  molecules increases.
